Tips to Outclass Your Competition - #1 Rule for choosing what to wear

How many times have you received an invitation to an event and had no idea what to wear? The range of categories of clothing can challenge anyone in selecting appropriate attire. What do Business Casual, Nice Casual, Snappy Casual, Dressy Casual, Western Casual, and Casual Friday mean? Who knows where one category starts and another ends? When in doubt, my #1 Rule is to ask the host, “What should I wear?” Some top image secrets are:
  • Socks match the pants, not the shoes.
  • The correct pant length is where the back of the pant touches where the heel meets the shoe.
  • Always dress to the level you wish to achieve, not the level you have.
  • When you see toes, do not wear hose.
  • Hang pants from the cuff.
  • At the end of the day, hang your clothing, and spray mist clothing 12”away. You can do this on most fabrics and wrinkles will come out overnight.

The Coach’s Corner – The 15 Primary Relationships

When we hear the word “relationship,” we tend to think of our relationship with other people. We also have relationships with other elements of our world. Some of the primary relationships are time, money, success, happiness, stress, change, feelings, responsibility, learning, paperwork, roles/identity, ideas, soul, body and personality. Pick one of these relationships and consider how you interact with this relationship.

An example could be your relationship with stress. We assume most people want to reduce stress in their lives, but some people thrive on stress. They want stress in their lives because it drives them into action. Some people simply accept stress in their lives or may even have an addictive relationship with stress.

What is your relationship with stress? Would you like to shift to a different relationship? It’s fun to experiment, think outside of the box, and involve others in thinking about relationships. This self-discovery will allow you to see the bigger picture of a relationship and help you make a conscious choice to create positive shifts.
